Hardy weinberg law P2+2pq=q2

Given 2pq = 0.51 --->1

P+q=1
q = 1-P---->2

Sub 2 in 1

2p(1-P) = 0.51
2p-2p^2-0.51 = 0

Rearrange this,
P^2 - P + 0.255 = 0

Expected frequency of dominant phenotype P = 0.5 or 50%

So Expected frequency of recessive phenotype q = 0.5 or 50%
