1. in standard plate count method colonies 30-300 can be used for bacterial counting. Less than 30 is too few to count and more than 300 is too many to count, So the 6th plate can be used for counting since it contains 75 colonies. Plate 4 and 5 can be avoided as it contain more than 300 colonies.

2. Dilution factor will be 10^7 since we have used 10^-7 dilution culture for inoculation.

3. cfu / ml= (no of colonies x dilution factor) / volume of culture plated

Here volume of culture plated is 1 ml.

so cfu / ml=  (75 x 10^7) / 1 ml

cfu / ml = 7.5 x 10^8 cfu / ml
