Explanation- Dunaliella salina is a marine algae. It has the ability of high salt tolerance. They accumulate variety of salt forming cations like calcium, sodium and potassium intracellularly to maintain their osmotic balance. As Dunaliella salina is an algae it performs photosynthesis. As a result of photosynthesis it produces free glycerol within the cell, which also help to maintain osmotic balance of cell.
