Endospore staining is a process of colouring endospores for their visualisation. Endospores are thick walled spores formed during unfavourable conditions like heat and desiccation. They are reproductive structures but moreover they are a means of perennation. They are found in the genus bacillus and clostridium mainly. It is stained by a dye called as malachite green.
A. A positive result indicates that the organism forms endospore during unfavourable condition. There are chances that the organism may belong to genus bacillus and clostridium.
B. Negative result indicates that the organism does not form endospore during unfavourable condition. The bacterial cell maybe having some other method to survive during unfavourable environment.

What result would you expect if you were to perform an endospore stain on an acid-fast bacterium?
A) You perform a gram stain on an unknown and two controls. The gram positive control organism appears pink when you observe it microscopically. Your unknown organism also appears pink. Is your unknown organism gram positive, gram negative, or can't tell? B) what is the reason you could have the above result?
