Model 2 -Amylase Kale Di Real Rare of reacties Rate of reaction 20 80 100 40 60 Temperature, C Enzyme concentration Shatrate

As the concentration of enzyme increases, the rate of reaction also increases but up to a certain limit. This is because the number of substrate molecules get limited after some time. As we increase the enzyme concentration, more enzyme molecules bind to all the unoccupied substrate molecules. But one all the substance molecules are bound, there are no more substrate molecules to be occupied with increasing enzyme molecules. Hence it reaches a plateau.
