Answer #1

Answer:

a) AB

Explanation: Homozygous A father will have both dominant alleles of blood antigen A, hence he will inherit one allele of antigen A to the offspring. Similarly Homozygous B mother has both alleles prducing antigen B. Hence she will transfer one allele of antigen B to her offspring.

Hence offspring will receive one allele from father carrying gene for antigen A and other allele from her mother carrying the antigen B.

Hence the only possible phenotype of the offspring will be AB

PPPPPP Step 5: Determine the phenotype of cach possible allele combination shown in the offspring. In this instance, three of the offspring Chose with the genotypes EE, Ee, and Be) have free earlobes, because the free earlobe allele is dominant to the attached-carlobe allele. One offspring, ec, has attached earlobes. Therefore, the proba- bility of having offspring with free earlobes is 3/4 and with attached earlobes is 1/4.
