The ramifications due to lack of adrenergic receptors in adipose tissue mainly include-

  • an increase in the storage of fat,
  • promoting obesity
  • decreased lipolysis
  • reduced insulin impact is also being suggested as an issue in research-based studies; associated with the early onset of diabetes
  • very slow energy expenditure
