In severe iron deficiency anemia, RBC count and hemoglobin will be less. MCV and MCHC are parameters depedent on red cells and hemoglobin, therefore these will also change than normal. If patient is not suffering from any other disorder, immune cells like WBCs, platelets will be normal.
