Glucose to lactate formation - ATP generated -04, ATP consumed- 2, net ATP = +02 (gain)

Lactate to glucose formation-ATP generated -0, ATP consumed- 06, net ATP= -6 (consumed)

So net ATP cost= -6+ 2= -4 (consumed) which is energy cost. So option 2nd is correct -4.
