Answer #1

31.

Messenger RNA is one of the types of RNA which contains information in the form of nucleotides for the formation of proteins. It carries codon and one codon leads to the formation of one amino acid.

Transfer RNA is one of the types of RNA which carries the anti codon and amino acid during the process of translation. Interaction between anticodon of transfer RNA and codon of messenger RNA leads to the addition of one amino acid in the growing peptide chain during translation.

34. Melting temperature is the temperature at which a double stranded molecule of DNA is broken down into single-stranded molecules.

Tm = 2 (A + T) + 4 (G + C)

Melting temperature is proportional to the amount of guanine and cytosine present in a given DNA fragment. Hire the amount of these two nucleotides greater will be the melting temperature. This is because there are three hydrogen bonds between guanine and cytosine and therefore requires more energy to be broken as compared to adenine and thymine pair which contains only two hydrogen bonds.
