Parasites harm their host to fulfill their needs.
This damage varies and can occur to host clones as well due to the
genetic variation for expression of disease. Now this causes
reproduction and genetics variations.
The host clone which suffer less from parasitism will not be harmed
and will increase their population.
There are two basic problems with detecting host adaptation or we
can say host visibility.
Firstly , if host have lower parasite fitness , this will result in
counter adaptation of parasites which will reduce the effectiveness
of the host and ultimately making them invisible.
Secondly, when there is interaction between two organism, it may or
may not be beneficial to both (considering one as a host here) so
it also depends on the genotype where one triad is expressed and
other is not.

14. If two species of seed-eating finch colonized an island on which there were seeds of only one size, what would Gause's principle of competitive exclusion predict? a) The finches would hybridize and become one species. b) One finch would evolve smaller beaks and the other would evolve larger beaks. c) One of the finch species would probably disappear from the island. d) The plants would evolve seeds of different sizes. 15. Which of the following...

Two species of foxes are observed to have overlapping geographic ranges. Describe how this speciation event could have resulted from: allopatric, peripatric, parapatric, or sympatric speciation.
Question: Describe 2 ways you could set up a 1:10,000 dilution of a culture. This is in regards to the Pour Plate Method of isolation and serial dilutions for microbiology. I think I may be overthinking this. Is it just using 4 tubes with 10ml each or 3 tubes, one with 100ml and two with 10ml? Transferring 1ml each time.Thank you in advance for your help.
