Since in the given ratio, long eared pigs, short eared pigs and medium eared pigs are mentioned , we can take the character of medium eared as one of the characters which is expressed in a heterozygous condition.

The ratio mentioned in the question is 7:4:3 i.e. 7 medium eared (parental),4 long eared and 3 short eared. It is equal to 50% medium eared ,28.57% long eared and 21.42% are short eared. The approximate ratio is 2.3:1.3:1
