Answer #1

5. Last option

Okazaki fragments are short fragment of nucleotide synthesis on the lagging strand. They are synthesized because of the uni-directional nature of DNA polymerase. On the lagging strand, this enzyme works in a discontinuous manner and give rise to these fragments. When the DNA replication is completed, then these fragments are attached to each other by the help of enzyme ligase which catalyzes the formation of phosphodiester bond between adjacent okazaki fragments.

6. Third option

DNA pol direction - 3' to 5'

Direction of daughter DNA strand - 5' to 3'

The synthesis of DNA on the lagging strand is discontinuous because of the unit directional nature of DNA polymerase. It has to move away from the replication fork while moving on the lagging strand.

Please rate high.
