Cellular respiration converts monosaccharides into ATP. ATP is the energy currency which remains stored in the cell. ATP breaks into ADP and release 7.3 kcal/mol energy. This energy is used for proper functioning of our body. Glycolysis and Creb's cycle are the two procedures by which monosaccharides are transformed into ATP.
