1. Answer : The four main tissue types are ---

  1. Epithelial Tissue : It is also called as Epithelium. It refers to the layer of cells which cover the exterior surface of the body.
  2. Connective Tissue : It binds or connects the cells and organs of the body together .
  3. Muscle Tissue : It responds to the stimulation and contraction so that body can move at different direction.
  4. Nervous Tissue : It allows the propagation of electro-chemical signals in the form of nerve impulse so that different body parts can communicate together and helps in proper functioning of the whole body.
