Vena cava is a vein which carries deoxygenated blood from the body to the heart. It also carries deoxygenated blood from the upper half of the body. The vena cava is the vein that has thinner-walled due to this blood pressure is low. The valves that are present in veins prevent the backflow of blood. Due to this valves the veins have to work against gravity due to this the backflow of blood is prevented in this region of circulation.
