Mutation that changes a codon in a gene to one of the three termination codon (UAA , UGA, or UAG) is called as nonsense mutation . GGA codes for glycine and if 1st G in the codon is substituted by U then it becomes UGA .

Since Guanine is substituted by uracil it means purine is replaced by a pYrimidine then it's a transversion.
