Explanation:

Binary fission is an asexul mode of reproduction which occurs mostly in prokaryotes. Here the parent cell itself divides to give rise to 4 daughter cells which are clones of each other. Each daughter differs genetically from the parent. The genetic material found is circular chromosomes.

Mitosis or Cytokinesis is a sexual method of reproduction in Eukaryotes in which the parent cell divides to give rise to two daughter cells which are identical to the parent genetically. In eukaryotes, the chromosomes are linear.

In both processes, the genetic material is first duplicated before physical division of cells to give rise to daughter cells.
