Recycling of inorganic matter between biotic and abiotic components of environment is called as biogeochemical cycle. Like C, N and S cycles other cycles like Fe, Mn and Cr also involve redox chemistry. However biogeochemical cycles like P, Ca and Si don’t involve redox chemistry or gaseous forms rather involve fluctuations in the solubility of compounds. These elements are involved in the exoskeleton of marine organisms. Phoshorous and silica are sedimentary cycle as the main reservoir is the soil.
