A trihybrid (Aa, Bb, Rr) is test crossed and produces the following numbers of offspring with the indicated genotypes:

Aa, bb, rr 50
Aa, bb, Rr 150
aa, Bb, rr 150
aa, Bb, Rr 50

For the trihybrid parent, draw the chromosome(s) of a single cell of meiosis where crossing-over has NOT occurred between any of the loci. Mark each chromatid for each locus and the allele that it carries.

Answer #1

The crossing over is not found between any of the genes. Hence single cross overs are not found.

In this case, the greater number are of parental type. Whereas the lowest number are of double cross over type. The middle gene is swapped betwee the homologous chromosomes during the double Cross over.

Please look in the image for solution:

+ + + Aa, bb, ri. aa, Bb, Irri aa, Bb, Řr Thats why R gene is swapped. and R gene is in middle position The cell in meiosis

Hello, please show work :) . I want to double check my work and answers . thanks (1) One of the standard techniques to determine whether two loci are physically close to one another on the same chromosome is to conduct a "dihybrid cross", a cross of two individuals that are heterozygous at both loci.
