Answer #2

10. DNA is more stable than RNA due to the absence of 2' OH in the ribose.

DNA contain 2'- deoxy ribose( absence of 2' - hydroxyl group in ribose) and RNA contain ribose, i.e pressence of 2' - hydroxyl group in ribose. This pressence of hydroxyl group make RNA less stable than DNA, because this hydroxyl group is more susceptible to hydrolysis.

11. The nucleic acid that is present in RNA and but not DNA is uracil.

In DNA thymine is present instead of uracil, because adenine is paired with only thymine. Uracil is present in RNA instead of thymine.

12. It contains sulphur.

Sulphur is not present in DNA. DNA is acidic, it contain 2'- deoxy ribose sugar, DNA is found in the cell nuclei, it contain phosphate.

13. 15 %.

Mouse genome contain 35% cytosine bases.

In DNA cytosine pairs with guanine. If 35% cytosine bases are present, 35% guanine bases are also present, because cytosine pairs with guanine( total cytosine and guanine percent is 70%). Remaining percent(30%) is adenine and thymine. In dna adenine pairs with thymine. So 15% adenine and 15% thymine is present.

14. Deoxyribonucleic acid.

The name of DNA in due to the pressence of 2' - deoxy ribose and nitrogen bases(A, T, G, and C) and phaspphate.

Answer #1

(10. The ophon D is correct that is stable, 2-0H. DNA es more stable because its Sete Of helaction and rate of evolution és -14). The option D is correct that is Deoxyribonucleic acid. The deoxy prefix is used due to absence of oxygen or -OH group in DNA.
