3.Antibiotic concentrations are the main driving force in the environment for the selection of resistant bacterial populations.Bacteria become resistant when they encounter antibiotics in their environment in doses too small to kill them.If we remove antibiotic from the environment then drug resistance frequently declines within 480 generations during exposure .The extent of resistance loss was found to be generally antibiotic-specific. driven by mutation that reduce both resistance level and fitness costs of antibiotic resistance mutation.
