answer:

Amino acids are the monomers that form the protein, they join themselves in one or more linear chains forming polypeptides. they have one amino group and one acidic group. these polypeptides are joined by condensation polymerization by removing two hydrogens and one oxygen molecule from the amino and carboxyl group.

while forming these peptide chains of usually 20-50 amino acids, they tend to lose their structure, in particular they no longer have free ammonia group or a carboxyl group and they are known as Amino residues.
