d.) ALL OF THESE ARE TRUE.

Synthesis of fatty acids occur in the cytosol of animals. It involves the stepwise addition of 2 carbon units which are supplied by Acetyl coA. These 2 subunits are Acetyl ACP and Malonyl ACP. Further the reactions occur step wise. In the end of the cycle the cycle repeats itself that is called elongation of fatty acids. All of the above options are correct, the main reactions are Condensation, Reduction and dehydration.
