In mouth two type of digestion occurs

1 Mechanical digestion its is done by four type of teeth. Incisor, canine, pre molar, molar. These teeth chewing, tear, mixing the food.

2 chemical digestion done by salivary digestion by releasing of amylase enzyme. Amlase enzyme break down the carbohydrates into oligosacchrides.

In general in mouth no greay food digestion take place. But lingual lipase released also in mouth that digestion lipids but not too much active in mouth so lipides little bits or not breakdown in mouth. Lipase enzyme most active in small intestine.

Stomach digestion

Chemical digestion take place in stomach

Cheif cell secrete Pepsin enzyme break down protein. Parietal cells secrete hcl. This hcl activate release of pepsin enzyme.

In stomach greay food digestion also occur by gastric lipase secreted by gastric chief cells.
