Which of the trends associated with mobile platforms do you believe are most likely to be adopted in providing services to their constituents? Do you believe that public entities should embrace this technology and what issues should these entities consider in their decisions to adopt this technology?
The most prominent trends associated with mobile platforms which I believe are going to be most likely adopted in providing services to their constituents are :
The AI (Artificial Intelligence)
Mobile phones have now become an efficient platform for artificial intelligence which is going to be most likely used by service provides for serving their constituents.
The AI associated with mobile platform such as Google assistant, Alexa, siri etc are nice performing most of the functions with just a voice recognition. Which is making the devices to be used hands free. AI can be used extensively by service providers in targeting their constituents.
.
Mobile banking and payments :
The another mobile platform trend which will most likely be used by service providers is the facility of making payments from their mobile phones. Various retailers, financial institutions and banks are enabling their customers to use their mobile phones to make various payments without visiting the place or without lining up in queue.
Synchronization with home devices :
The another prominent trend associated with mobile platform is the technology by which some companies are enabling the mobile users to Synchronize their devices such as refrigerators, Led Tv's, air conditioners, etc with their mobile devices to adjust them and ease life. This is the trend that can be adopted in the likely future for serving to the customers.
Transportation facilities :
Mobiles are now being used for booking cab or taxis and many companies such as Uber, Line bike, Insta cab etc are already providing customers the faciliy to book transport at their door steps with just an installation of an app. This trend is also most likely going to be adopted by service providers.
.
Yes with respect to the ease they provide to the mobile users they should be embraced by the public entities as those technologies are likely going to change how a person shops, visits communicates and even performs actions. Therefore it is savings lot of time and efforts which might have been otherwise consumed.
The issues of security associated with this technology are the most daunting for the public entities as they increase the risk of exposure, and abuse to confidentiality or privacy and increase the risk of theft of data. These security issues therefore need to be addressed in an appropriate manner for ensuring that customer data remains safe.
