Autonomic responses are the ones with an abrupt action without a volunatry processing or consideration without a concious input from the subject and is a sudden reflex.It is paralle and needs less effort .

Whereas in case of intentional behaviours the subject s in control and in concious state and evaluates and proceeds with action with a proper controlled control over himself or herself.

An example may be sited :

The sight or smell of food or a restaurant when triggers hunger it is an autonomic response whereas the decision to make a meal and have it is a controlled response.

The nature of response depicts if it is autonomic or intentional.
