It is known that emotion can drive our behaviour and impact people positively and negatively. So it is often advocated to manage one's own emotion so that it can be helpful is dealing with relationships and changes and setbacks and failures.
Arguments which are against emotional intelligence are as follows-
A.it is hard for the persons who are having high level of emotional intelligence to deliver critical or negative feedback to other and receiving negative feedback from others.
B. A persons who have high level of emotional intelligence will be having a developed ability of manipulation of others and he will be able to to empathetise and deliver a message that will feel right to the audience and this can engage in various tactics of manipulation.
C. Reluctance in ruffling people's feather-the persons who are having high level of emotional intelligence are not the popular choices for senior level management jobs because they will be making unpopular decisions and people who are more focused on getting alone than getting ahead are less likely to make them.
D. Persons who are having a high level of emotional intelligence will be having low level of creativity and innovation potential because they will be more likely to stick to the conventional approach and they are not able to challenge the status quo.
