Answer #1

Group discussion generally means a systematic, structured and formal discussion with a group of members where they come to a conclusion and to one point of view .In the opening of a group discussion first a topic will be given on any issue. group members have to start the discussion initiated by any of the member. group members should have certain rules and regulations to be followed. the leader of the group can initiate by asking whether they have already any experience of participating in the group discussion and if not to give some advice to the group. if they have already experienced to share some of the problems they have faced. group discussion needs a lot of strategy to be followed like cooperation and coordination, equal participation, self confidence, positive thinking, good oral communication , subject knowledge and most important leadership skills.

Conclusion should end with the group coming to one common point of agreement with all the thoughts and opinions. The group discussion they experienced should have taught some thing and the leader should ask everyone what the discussion has taught them and what they have learned. the leader should be able to give some advice which will help them to participate confidently in the next group discussion.
