Task 1:

Click cell H10, and enter an AVERAGEIFS function to determine the average salary of full-time employees with at least one dependent. Format the results in Accounting Number Format.

Step 1:

Open the excel and go to Insurance worksheet. The Insurance worksheet is as shown below:

Step 2:

Go to cell H10 and enter the formula =AVERAGEIFS(D5:D34,B5:B34,"FT",C5:C34,">=1") as shown in the screenshot below:

Format the result in Accounting Number Format as shown in the screenshot below:

The result is as shown in the screenshot below:

Task 2:

Use Advanced Filtering to restrict the data to only display full-time employees with at least one dependent. Place the results in cell A37. Use the criteria in the range H24:M25 to complete the function.

Select the Data tab and click on Advanced in the Sort & Filter group as shown in the screen shot below:

Step 2:

The Advanced Filter window is as shown below: The List range is specified as the

range of data on which criteria is to be specified.

Step 3:

The Criteria range is specified as the range in which the criteria are specified as shown below.

Step 4:

As the filtered data is to be placed in another location without disturbing the original data, select the radio button Copy to another location in the Advanced Filter window and specify the location as A37 as shown on the screenshot below:

Step 5:

After the List range and Criteria range are specified correctly, click on Ok button. The result is as shown in the screenshot below:
