Answer #1

Germination is the event when a seed starts to grow an form a seedling. The seedlings then grow to flower. Flowers are the reproductive parts of the plants. Both male and female reproductive parts produce their respective gametes pollen grains and eggs. The pollen grains reach the stigma of the female reproductive part via any mean such as wind, water, insects, birds etc, is called pollination. The fusion of male and female gametes occur to form a zygote (a single cell), which is called fertilization. The zygote divides to form a multicellular embryo. Thus, the sequence in plant life cycle after germination are - flowering, gametogenesis, pollination, fertilization, and embryo formation.

    1. In this question, assume that the life cycle of a flowering plant begins with the germination of a seed and ends with the development of a fruit. Two events that occur in the life cycle are formation of a pollen tube and pollination. What would be the sequence in which they occur? Group of answer choices Both events occur more or less simultaneously. Formation of a pollen tube precedes pollination. pollination precedes the formation of a pollen tube 2....

Stages in the life cycle of a plant Recall that plants have unique life cycles that alternative between the sporophyte and gametophyte generation. For the list of events below, place them in order to describe the life cycle of the plant, beginning with the germination of a new plant. Then, decide which stages describe the sporophyte stages and which stages describe the gametophyte stages and label each accordingly. Drag the text blocks below into their correct order.
