There is no reason to be worried because the gene is paternally expressed.

Jasmine has the gene but when she give one gamete to form zygote the mutated gene will not be expressed as it is maternal as jasmine is giving the gene. And his partner has no mutation.

So there is nothing to be worried .

The parent will be his father grandfather that why jasmine is effected because his grand grandfather gives the gene to grandfather who gives to his father and his father gives to jasmine.

Ii is not maternal because if maternal then when jasmine mother had the gene , jasmine would not be affected as it is paternally expressed.
