In this case, the correct answer is both CD4 and CD8. Of course, they wont be expressed at the same time on a single T cell. There will be two types of cells that survives to the positive selection: T-CD4 and T-CD8. In the negative selection the will be in contact with the complex MHC in order to determinate self reacting T cells. If they survive to this selection, newly T-CD4 and T-CD8 cells will exit the thymus.
