Sleep deficits can affect health in various ways. It can reduced one's level of attention and concentration and also reduces their ability to make decisions and think logically. It can also hinder their metabolism and can lead to mental health issues such as anxiety as well, also aggravating existing conditions such as diabetes or hypertension. In order to ensure that one is able to sleep at night, encourage them to avoid daytime sleeping and follow a fixed sleep wake cycle. Advice them to prevent lying down immediately after a meal and encourage them to drink less fluids after 6pm, and avoid stimulants such as caffeine. Listening to soothing music, and writing a journal would also help many Individuals.
