1, sleep is a condition of body and mind in rest for more than 4-8hours in which eyes are closed and body is inactive.

When I was working in hospital for night shift mid night I will get sleep deprivation..it made me to concentrate less ( attention deficit)in night work at hospital..That time I feel emotionally disturbed, physically tired and inactive in work..when I sleep at night next day it make me fresh and I can do my work routinely with out any physical and emotional disturbance..night sleep is good than day time sleep.. when I do night shift without sleep I feel tired and I increased my weight..

Rituals and routine I will do before going to bed is I will take hot shower bath. It make me sleep well and make me calm..it can soothing my mind so my ideas about tomorrow plan will be perfect with out any confusion..

No, as a nurse when we get sleep deprivation during night it can interfere our physical function so we can be much active during night shift..we will get poor coordination skills, emotionally disturb during decision making process and creativity..

2, infant will sleep often and regular..Usually 13-14hours per day

Children spent more time for playing in the day.so night they spent more time for sleep

Adolescents sleep delayed until late at night it can extend into daytime hours, they will get deep sleep they will not disturb by noise..

Elderly people spend more time for sleep and awake more often during night..

Alcohol, tobacco can worsen the sleep apnea..we feel relaxed, sleepy,unbeatable, aggressive or agitated..scientifically proven alcohol will not improve sleep quality.. alcohol interfere our normal sleep by disrupting neurotransmitter in our brain,which regulates and controls sleep...coffine attacks and blocks receptors in the brain that would normally make up sleepy..

3, depression may cause sleep problems.both has some biological features respond to some same treatment strategies..sleep problem can make anyone to get severe depressive illness..Depressive patient may have difficulty falling sleep,can not sleep for more than hours, unfreshing sleep,daytime sleepiness etc..

Antidepressants and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors with hypnotic medication will make them sleep better..
