This is the assessment for the intense workout when the cardiac output will be maximum but metabolic value indicates the oxygen consumption during the rest state that is the baseline oxygen consumption. MET of 10 indicates the maximum oxygen consumption is 10 times more than the resting VO2 consumption. At VO2 of 30ml/kg/min, the MET is 10 which indicates the value as assessed above.
