Customer relationship management systems help firms achieve customer intimacy. Explain how these systems accomplish this relationship and why they are important today. With which Employee Relationship Management (ERM) systems are you familiar? If you haven't utilized an ERM, do some research and provide an example of this system to the class.

Customer relationship management tools definitely help companies achieve customer intimacy.

A track of which customer was approached by which employee and the stage at which the sale/service is , is kept.

So the next time a customer calls a company , the company will know who dealt with the customer the last time they called and what was the topic of conversation. If there was an issue or service request , has it been resolved or not?

One such tool is oracle Siebel ERM

which can do a host of other things like payroll management , absence management , time and labour management etc.
