A leader gets in there and rolls his sleeves up because success it is not just about thinking up a good idea. Leadership requires action and the passion to put the effort into turning that good idea into a sustainable revenue machine. Even after Microsoft began gaining success, Gates worked long days and nights on understanding the target audience and developing the products that would speak to their business, education and consumer needs.

His leadership style is often described as transformational and serves as a model for many of today’s entrepreneurs who are just as determined, focused and passionate about what they are doing. Gates provides an excellent model of how transformational qualities can help create a successful leader, but he also proves that the individual human spirit that all makes us unique and the influence of parents and mentors also play a critical role in creating the legends.

In the same way that every truly worthy recipe has a couple of key ingredients that make it unique and amazing, leaders also tend to have key qualities that enable them to shine. Such is the case for Bill Gates. Along with Paul Allen, Bill Gates founded what is now one of the most successful companies in the world, Microsoft. He frequents Forbes Top 100 lists, recently ranking as the richest person in America. In fact, he previously appeared on the World’s Billionaires list by Forbes for 12 consecutive years (CNN). Gates never lets the Microsoft team become complacent, even when they held the market leader position and were achieving multi-billion dollar revenues.

Without a doubt, Bill Gates is a man with vision. It was vision that inspired him to pursue the creation of a graphical interface that became  Microsoft   software . Looking back to his interviews about the development of Microsoft, Gates says he always knew he wanted to have more than a single  product . The company wanted to hire in more software people and develop a full product line. From the beginning, he recognized potential for growth and opportunity. His ability to envision goals also reaches into his philanthropic pursuits.

It would be hard to talk about the life of Bill Gates and not discuss philanthropy and humanitarianism. Along with Warren Buffet, Bill and Melinda Gates were the founders of the giving pledge, a pledge taken by some of the world’s wealthiest people to give the majority of their wealth to philanthropic causes or charitable organizations.

This article is written very well. It correctly describes the relationship between being a successful leader and being passionate about his/her vision. Concentrating fully on achieving one's dreams takes a lot of a energy and dedication. To continuously improve the products and services with respect to customers demands is truly tedious and cumbersome. Leaders like Bill Gates are truly inspirational and not just for their business growth but for their contribution towards the betterment of the community. They do not just focus on increasing self-wealth, but on improving the economic status of their nations and other fellow-citizens.
