HeLa were the first human cells that were grown in a lab ,and the fact was that they were naturally immortal. These cells do not die after a number of cell division.HeLa are the human cell lines that are derived the cervical cancer of a patient named Henrietta Lacks. As we know, aneuploidy is the result of instability of chromosomes.HeLa cells is aneuploid and has a very robust mitotic spindle checkpoint.There is a small telocentric chromosome in more than 98% of the cell.There are four typical marked chromosome are found in HeLa cells.Human do not aquired telocentric chromosomes . But HeLa cells have the ones. Humans have 46 chromosomes but there are approx.80 chromosomes are possessed by HeLa cells.Their karyotype is different from from others. These cencerous immortal cells aquire telocentric chromosomes which have one centromere at terminal end and shows aneuploidy . These cells are till under discovery . Many teams from different countries are working on these immortal cells to explore its secretes that will be usefull for mankind.
