A moneyless way of thinking helps decondition people from a finite mindset and encourages society to develop imaginative solutions to the problems of the world. From a different perspective, addressing our problems is the only way we will ever have an opportunity to create effective solutions

There is going to be scarcity. I can think of several items in your city that there would be a limited supply, including prime homes, more than the current allocation of a certain type of food, building material, access to power, fictional works, a chef's cooking or the art of an artist.

Economies pop up anywhere scarcity is present. In prisons, where food, shelter, clothing and medical care are provided free of charge, the prisoners trade for a myriad of things (often using cigarettes as a means of exchange) In online games, the game coin has real-world value and is exchanged for real-world goods and services.

Until modern money was in common use there was something called the Barter system in which you would give something you possess in return for that if you wanted something that someone else had then. It sounds simple and operated for much of human history but it had many disadvantages that made modern monetary system widespread. And the Barter system is perhaps the closest a society could get to use no money and even that system wasn't very successful. So it's not feasible to have a totally currency-free world in short no matter how cultured the people are because it's simply not practical. It would require some form of currency system, and efficient one as well.
