The body’s immune system helps protect us from disease by having our white blood cells (leukocytes) kill pathogens such as fungi, viruses, bacteria, and cancerous cells. The relationship between psychological factors such as stress and the immune system is strong because stress overtime can really impact our immune systems. Stress weakens our immune systems, causing us to be more susceptible to different pathogens. That is why it Is important to reduce the amount of stress one has in his or her life.

My personality and behavior patterns can increase my risk of developing health-related problems because I tend to stress and worry. This can affect my health in a very negative way. Things I can do to adopt healthier behaviors is to run more often so that I will release some stress. I should distract myself by setting time aside during the day to do something I enjoy. Lately I mainly try to manage my stress by listening to music, talking about it, and running.

The levels of stress in my life can affect my physical health, and it can do so by causing high blood pressure. People in general who stress too much and often can get high blood pressure and heart disease. People can reduce their level of stress by avoiding drinks that contain caffeine and alcohol, get more sleep, talk about it, and exercise. Some additional ways of coping with stress is by trying to think more positively and to remember that nothing is permanent, and life is too short to stress. It was also mentioned in the book, that having a good social support can have a big impact in reducing one’s stress in his or her life. And by not being stressed, a person’s behavior will change for the better, and by not being stressed, you are also less likely to get the common cold.

In this 21st century everyone is running behind success. Competition has increased so much that every one care about earning more and more money but people forget that their health is their wealth. In this busy life we don't have time for ourselves, which results that we take so much stress in life that its consequences affects our health adversely.

Stress has become a big problem these days because everyone takes stress in their life, reasons may vary. Students take stress about their study and marks. Parents take stress about their child, family and earnings. Those who are working takes stress of their work. Stress may be in any form. It depends on person how they cope up with it. Stress makes our immune system weak and invites many disease. It can cause high blood pressure, depression, heart problems and mental problems. So it is better to avoid stress and to be positive forever. There are many ways which can help in eliminating stress from our life's.

We should avoid stress and always indulge ourselves in those activities which we like and which makes us happy. We should always eat healthy and avoid smoke, tobacco and drinks. We should make our daily schedule in which we should awake early morning and we should do exercise, walk and yoga. The yoga and exercise is the best treatment for reducing stress. Those who keep themselves busy in some activities like meeting with friends, being social, attending function and exhibition they never face stress. Being social is a good way to reduce stress.
