Answer #1

Crocodilians exhibit a spectrum of rostral shape from long snouted ( longirostrine ) through to short snouted (brevirostrine) morphologies. The proportional length of the mandibular symphysis correlates consistently with rostral shape forming as much as 50% of the mandibles length in longirostrine forms but 10% in brevirostrine corcodilians . Here we analyse the structural consequences of an elongate mandibular symphysis in relation to feeding behaviors.

TRODUCTION Chemical processes occur spontaneously when they lower the free energy of the system. The free energy at constant temperature and ressure is the Gibbs free energy, AG, which is defined as follows: AG = AH - TAS where AG is the change in free energy of the system, AH is the change in enthalpy of the system and AS is the change in entropy of the system AG, the change in free energy, must be less than zero for...

When you bend over, a series of large muscles, the erector spine, pull on your spine to hold you up. (Figure 1) shows a simplified model of the spine as a rod of length L that pivots at its lower end. In this model, the center of gravity of the 360N weight of the upper torso is at the center of the spine. The 170N weight of the head and arms acts at the top of the spine. The erector...

A researcher hypothesizes that distractions occur more for those with greater prior exposure to sugars when sugary snacks are placed in their work environment. Essentially, the researchers were attempting to see if the presence or absence of sugary treats affected the amount of time to distraction for three groups: those with low, moderate and high exposure to sugar. They measured time to distraction by timing the participants in completing a computer task – thus, longer times meant more distraction, while...

Describe the communication process that is involved when someone answers "Nope" to the question "Do you like ice cream?" You must discuss the anatomy and physiology for each system we discussed and how they all work together to produce a response to a question. Think about the overall process and do not just discuss the various processes independently. Be sure each idea relates to the production of "Nope" and each idea flows logically to the next idea. Think about what...
