It should be known that atherosclerosis is the deposition of cholesterol in the blood vessels of heart leading to decrease in blood flow.

So the first sub clinical phenotype can be the measurement of intima media thickness. This is selected because this will make it clear that what is the thickness of the artery and whether it has thickened or not due to some kind of deposition.

Second sub clinical phenotype that can be used is the blood pressure from the ankle and the arm. This will require the measurement of blood pressure fron the ankle and from the arm. A difference in the blood pressure measured from the ankle to the one measured from the arm immediately indicates the problem in the heart

The third phenotype that can be used is the coronary artery calcium. This will help in understanding the level of calcium deposition in the artery that will indicate the level of blockage in the artery.
