Photosynthesis can be divided into two stages - light-dependent reactions and light-independent reactions(calvin cycle).

The light-dependent reactions takes place in the thylakoid membranes of the chloroplast.These are in two forms-cyclic and non cyclic.

The calvin cycle takes place in the stroma of chloroplast.It is the set of chemical reactions.

Sucrose is produced in the mesophyll cells of plant leaves.It travels through the intercellular spaces within the leaf.It arrives at the vascular bundle.
