Answer #1

The answer is this: Prepare your conversation with your audience in mind in every way. We typically do not continue this way, as simple and intuitive as that sounds. The emphasis on the material also supersedes our public relations. Then ask yourself how listeners can make sense of what you're doing. That will almost certainly mean striving for greater clarity and simplification. And you will probably find yourself approaching your presentation differently, by moving more slowly so allowing time for the absorption and comprehension of key points.

The more detail you offer, the more your audience feels confused and the less likely it is that you will live up to that pledge. As an expert, it's easy to give too many specifics that don't help your core message while important to you. Be ruthless about editing. If your promise does not come back to a piece of information, a story, or a statistics, it needs to go.

Visual aids can be a very effective tool to make the presentations more impactful. Words and images that are used in different formats will directly appeal to the imagination of your audience, adding strength to the words you say. For the following reasons, think about using visual aids: if they save words-don't explain the findings-show them; if their effect exceeds the spoken word-don't describe an image-show it.
