Question: The television show Undercover Boss takes CEOs, presidents, and leaders of a particular company and puts them in disguise so they can go work on the front lines of their company. Do you feel, in general, that this is a good idea? Defend your answer. What company’s leader do you think should go undercover and work the front lines? Explain why.

CEOs, presidents and leaders go in disguise and join the front lines in their company with the prime objective of having a reality check. All the business processes, policies and interventions are implemented at the front lines. They are the forerunners of business and have the actual feedback about business. When the leaders come for interaction with such employees, they are usually hesitant because of their power and position and hence do not share the real feedback about policies and processes. However when the management is in disguise, they come to know the real feedback of the ground reality of business. Hence in my views, it is quite valid and effective if the leaders go undercover and join front line business of the company.
