Think about some activities that you do in your everyday life that include types of motion. They might include shopping in the supermarket, playing sports, or walking your dog. Each of these activities involves multiple motions – starts, stops, constant motions, and changing speeds. To prepare for this discussion, you will consider the many different motions that combine to form one activity. Then, you will write a short description of the activity, emphasizing each of the motions involved in it, and create a motion diagram depicting the activity. In your initial post to the discussion, include the short description of your activity, your motion diagram depicting the activity, and your response to the following questions: Is it possible in this activity that you will wind up at the same location that you started? Describe one change to your activity that would result in your covering twice the distance. Remove the motion that occurs in the middle of your activity sequence. How does that change affect your final position or velocity? use the golf
We can consider a activity in which a student goes to the
school. Initially he starts with constant speed from his house, in
between he stops at a stationary shop and then again starts moving
and increases his speed to reach his school. Then he reached at his
school and there he stays around 6 hours. Now the student comes
back to his house with constant velocity I.e without changing its
speed. So Hee we see that the object get on its original position
from where he started. This example has a start, stop, constant
motion etc cases.
If the student goes through a different path which is the longer one and has the distance twice to the original distance, so it will cover twice the distance.
If I remove the stopping part from the activity, then the velocity will be there and final position would be the same.
