The TOPIC of the refocused thesis is Sammy's decision to quit his job.

The MAIN IDEA of the refocused thesis is reason that is given in the thesis statement or the why of his decision for quitting the job i.e "The appearance of Queenie and the other two girls makes Sammy realize that he is tired of the conformist routines in his store and inorder to strike against those routines"

2. The refocused thesis is better than the first because it is specific and clear than the first one. The first thesis is vague and unclear as it doesn't gives the "why" of Sammy's decision, the readers are not able be grasp why Sammy would Sammy decide to quit the job at the mere appearance of three girls at his store, thus, this thesis statement would make the readers to have vague ideas about his decision. Whereas, the refocused thesis clearly and specifically gives the idea behind Sammy's decision to quit.
