In your view, what are some of the more difficult conflicts? What is it about the public sector that makes these conflicts so sharp and difficult? Government and public sector management is not good balance because there are always some conflicts in the interest of government, management and workers.The some other difficult conflicts other than stated in the questions are- Unfair practice of management in policy making and compensation, poor work environment conditions, Work stress on public sector workers, government interference in management etc.

What is it about the public sector that makes these conflicts so sharp and difficult?

Public sector is the area which is partly controlled by state and their ineffective policies of resolving conflicts, regular interference in the work of companies or industries makes these conflicts more sharp and difficult. State government uses their political leaders to manage business who have lack of skills, knowledge and experience of handling and managing which makes conflict resolution process more difficult.

Is there any hope some of these longstanding tensions can be resolved?

Yes, there is definitely a hope if Government reduce their impact on business management and provide effective conflict resolution policies like fair management-worker policy, fair compensation policy, policy of limiting the work hours and stress which can limit the longstanding tensions in the public sector.
