2a. Does your baby dragon have exactly the same phenotypic traits as his or her same-sex parent?
No the baby dragon does not exactly has the same phenotypic traits as his or her same-sex parents as the baby dragon is born to her mother by meiosis that occurred in the mother`s sex cells(oogenesis) that resulted in haploid ova and gametic fusion with the sperm that also formed due to meiosis (spermatogenesis) in father dragon. The fusion of sperm and ova resulted in a zygote that developed eventually to form a foetus and then it came out of the mother`s womb to become a baby dragon.
Now phenotypic traits depend on the genotype present in the baby dragon. In turn, the genotype is determined by the combination of genes of both the parents as in the baby dragon one set of chromosomes came from its mother and other set came from its father. Thus it is a kind of sexual reproduction where genetic recombination takes place every time a baby is born and due to this, every time the baby is born it is different from its siblings and also from either of the parents. Obviously, there are some similarities as the genes, it has inherited, is from both the parents, hence to an extent it is similar to both its parents but it is not a replica of either of the parents.
This can only happen in asexual reproduction where the offsprings produced are exactly the clone of their parents as here only a single parent is involved in contrast to sexual reproduction where two parents are involved.

Name Sex-linked traits are genetic char segments of DNA found on chromosomes that Sex-Linked Traits Senetic characteristics determined by genes located on sex chromosomes. Genies are and on chromosomes that carry information for protein production and that are sponsible for the inheritance of specific traits Genes exist in alternative forms called alleics. or a trail is inherited from each parent Like traits originating from genes on autosomes (non-se chromosomes), sex-linked to omosomes), sex-linked traits are passed from parents to offspring...
Post Lab Questions: X-linked Sex Linked traits follow the same inheritance pattern in humans as they do in fruit flies. From your newly acquired knowledge answer the questions below. 12. A woman is a carrier for hemophilia, if she has children with a 'normal' male what is the chance they will have a daughter with hemophilia? Explain your answer. 13. If this same pair were to have a male child what is the chance that he would have hemophilia? Explain...
1. What is often true about the relative rates of phenotypic evolution of sexually selected traits vs most other kinds of traits? 2. In the good genes model, why does a male trait have to be costly in order for the female preference to be maintained by natural selection? 3. Explain the Fisherian (runaway)model of sexual selection –what generates correlations between female preferences and male traits. What kind of experimental observation would support the model? 4. Explain the concept of...
You have a 15-year-old teen mom who self-presented to your primary care clinic with her 18-month-old baby girl. You have seen the mom several times in your clinic for various health issues. This is the first time you are treating her baby. You ran into her in the hallway. She reports that she is worried about her baby because she is not drinking her formula. She was holding her smiling and somewhat energetic baby. You noted that the baby has...
